Step #8. Advanced SEO Techniques & Future Trends.
In order to continue being best in SEO, you need to learn advanced SEO techniques. In addition to that, you need to learn future trends. So what are these techniques and future trends?
1. AI & SEO (Google’s SGE, ChatGPT & Machine Learning).
AI has become a major part of SEO these days. These days some people are using AI to churn out content continuously. AI is also being used to do a lot of SEO activities like keyword research and discovery.
Things like Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) have changed how SERPs work these days. Long ago, it only used to show lists of results on the SERPs but these days you get a very clear AI analysis at the top of the search results.
AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard and Gemini have become very critical for SEO. If you are doing SEO these days without using AI you are missing out.
2. Voice Search Optimization (Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri).
Did you know that over 50% of searches are voice-based. Surprising right? Now you understand that if you are not targeting these voice searches you are missing out. Thus you must optimize your SEO work to target the voice searches. Stop missing out on 50% of search results just because you are only focusing on the text searches only. Pay attention to audio too. For example, Voice queries tend to be longer and more conversational. Thus in your SEO optimization, keep that in mind.
Another thing you can do to optimize for the voice search is target questions. Target question-based keywords such as “how”, “what”, “best way to…” questions. Write answers to such questions so that when people voice search them, your sites results come out first.
Use natural language and concise answers to get featured on snippets. Google loves an article that is as humanly as possible. An article that uses concise answers.
Some of the biggest voice search engines are alexa, google assistant and siri.
3. Video SEO (YouTube, TikTok, Shorts).
If you produce videos for your SEO work, you need to do optimization for them too. Don’t just make the video and just place it there with no optimization. Use keywords and other things like tags and titles to optimize your video SEO. Video SEO matters so much on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
Thus do not ignore the video SEO. Even if you are not posting this video on youtube or tiktok, you still need to do SEO for it. Even if you are posting the video on your website, you still need to do SEO.
4. Zero-Click Searches & No-Click SEO.
Things like Zero-Click searches and No-Click SEO leads to low CTR. These things lead to low click through rates. What that means is that less people click search results from google because their questions are answered right away on google search results. Hence they do not need to click on the links on google to go to other websites. This can reduce the amount of traffic you get. Hence you need to target being the one on the PAAs on google. Let your website be featured on the PAAs.
Something else that you need to note about the new developments these days is the reduced number of clicks. Do you know that 60% of searches don’t result in clicks due to AI-generated answers.
5. E-E-A-T & Content Trustworthiness.
E-E-A-T stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness. This is very critical for your SEO. Google cares so much about E-E-A-T. Hence make sure your content exhibits those features. Google prioritizes well-researched and expert-written content.
6. Multimodal Search (Google Lens, Visual Search).
Search has diversified these days. Its no longer about just the text resuls anymore. There are more things to search such as Google lens and Visual search than before. Visual search is growing with e-commerce and products discoveries.
To optimize for this you have to optimize images with alt text, descriptive file names and schema markup. In addition to that, you need to use high-quality product images and infographics.
7. Predictive & Personalized Search (Google Discover & AI-Powered Feeds).
Google Discover shows personalized content based on user interests and behavior. These google discover results can bring you a lot of traffic since a lot of people read those article. If you can be able to target such results, you can get a lot more traffic and sales from it.
AI-driven search prioritizes engagement signals like dwell time and click-through rates. Thus make sure that your website’s dwell time is high. In addition to that, you need to have high click-through rates.
8. Programmatic SEO & Automated Content Creation.
Large sites use programmatic SEO to create thousands of optimized pages. For example, flights, real estate and travel websites can use their systems to produce thousands of optimized pages for the content. For example, pages for apartments in various cities.
